Trials as furnace

James 1:2 (ESV)

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

The trials that God sends to us are the furnace in which he places us. It is for the purpose of refining our lives and removing the dross, the sin, and the impurities; that we might all the more shine and be precious for his glory and his honour.1
