What is the meaning of “correction”?

Zephaniah 3:2 (ESV)

2 She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the LORD; she does not draw near to her God.

The term correction here refers to discipline. Discipline from God is designed to lead his people to repentance (Leviticus 26:18; Psalm 119:71; Hosea 6:1). The Lord sent his chastening judgment on her during the reigns of Ahaz, Hezekiah, and Manasseh. But Judah remained indifferent (see also Jeremiah 5:3; Amos 4:6; Haggai 2:17).1
