Commentary on Genesis 3:13 (Summary)

Genesis 3:13 (ESV)

13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Now it is Eve’s turn to respond. We see her doing the same thing as Adam. She, too, tries to shift the blame away from herself. She points to the serpent. She now realizes that the serpent lied to them. Yet her love for the Lord was not so great that she therefore did not listen to the serpent.
