1. Genesis 13:2 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

How does the mention of Abram’s wealth point to God's faithfulness?

Genesis 13:2 (ESV)

2 Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.

At the beginning of Genesis 12:1–20, God had promised Abram that he would bless him and make him a blessing. As Abram comes back from Egypt and settles in Canaan, we read that he was "very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.” This confirms the promise of God to bless Abram.
