When people hate Christ, they will also hate us, his followers (Matthew 10:22). Paul and Barnabas encourage the Christians. They encouraged the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith but pointed out to them that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God
(Acts 14:22). Keeping courage and being tested go together. God uses difficulties to discipline us: [God] disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness
(Hebrews 12:7–12).
