Job 9:2 (ESV)

2 “Truly I know that it is so: But how can a man be in the right before God?

Job agrees with Eliphaz (Job 4:17) and Bildad (Job 8:3) that one cannot argue one’s case with God. However, as we will see, Job disagrees as to the reason for this. It is not because of Job’s unrighteousness, but because of God’s sheer power that Job cannot argue with him.
