Everything God the Father has given to his people comes through Jesus Christ. It is how Peter had begun his letter, referencing the blessed consequences that come to the saints because of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead (1 Peter 1:3; see further 1 Peter 1:18–19). As it all hinges on Jesus Christ, our glorifying God also can happen only “through Jesus Christ.”
11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
