Commentary on Genesis 1:12 (Summary)

Genesis 1:12 (ESV)

12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

The Lord creates trees and plants that can reproduce by their own seed. The Lord gives the fruit and seeds to man to eat of it (see Genesis 1:29).
