Psalm 37
Psalm 37:1–40 is a song that looks forward to the new creation, the day when the wicked will be no more and God’s people will live in peace. This will be a good song to sing to remind Christians that our best life is yet to come, so that we will not be preoccupied with measuring success according to earthly standards. Another psalm which encourages a similar perspective is Psalm 73:1–28.
47 When Saul had taken the kingship over Israel, he fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, against the Ammonites, against Edom, against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines. Wherever he turned he routed them.
