What will happen to the Assyrian in the land of the LORD?
Isaiah 14:25 (ESV)
25that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and on my mountains trample him underfoot; and his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden from their shoulder.”
Assyria would be trampled on the mountains of the Promised Land—the Lord expressly speaks of my land and my mountains. The yoke and burden would be lifted from Israel as Assyria’s humiliation would mean Judah’s liberation.
