Why was there a call to slaughter the Babylonian king’s sons?
Isaiah 14:21 (ESV)
21Prepare slaughter for his sons because of the guilt of their fathers, lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the face of the world with cities.”
Babylon had to be completely wiped out. If salvation was to come out of the Jews, the Babylonian line could not be allowed to continue. They would never again be allowed to fill the earth with their cities and oppress other nations.
