Are we to think of the devil when reading Isaiah 14:13–14?

Isaiah 14:13–14 (ESV)

13 You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north;

The language used here calls to mind the description of the man of lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:1–17). Through his self-deification, the Babylonian king was a follower of the devil. His humiliation is therefore also an example of Satan’s fall. In the New Testament, such an attitude is ascribed to the Antichrist. Although this passage describes the fate of the Babylonian ruler, there is a connection with 2 Thessalonians 2:1–17 and Luke 10:18.
