Commentary on Job 3:16 (Summary)

Job 3:16 (ESV)

16 Or why was I not as a hidden stillborn child, as infants who never see the light?

Job’s desire for death becomes even stronger: why had he not been a miscarriage (a better translation than stillborn child)? The Teacher of Ecclesiastes agrees that a miscarried child is better off than some people who are living (Ecclesiastes 6:3).
