Why does Jesus refer to the woman as "daughter"?

Mark 5:34 (ESV)

34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

It is a term that conveys warmth and reassurance. It would have reached the woman's ears with a great sense of relief. Indeed, she is the only person addressed this way by Jesus in Mark’s entire Gospel. Jesus has the same purpose in mind when he sends her off with a standard Jewish blessing to go in peace. She leaves assured that her bold approach was seen in wholly positive terms.
