Moses’ hand becomes leprous. Since sufferers of leprosy had to live in isolation not to infect others, Moses cannot go to the Israelites and Pharaoh in his current condition. But God cures him: he has power, even when an illness seems to be hopeless.
6 Again, the LORD said to him, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” And he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous like snow.
