Why does Paul point to “God our Father”?

Colossians 1:2 (ESV)

2 To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

Paul points to God the Father as the source of grace and peace, thereby acknowledging that this is not something Paul can give them. It is only God who can grant this grace.
