1 Peter 2:18–25 (ESV)

18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust.

The paragraph breaks into two obvious parts: 1 Peter 2:18–20 addresses the right mindset in relation to slavery; 1 Peter 2:21–25 lays the foundation for the correct mindset as illustrated in Christ’s attitude to his suffering.
