What is the significance of the name "Gilgal"?

Joshua 5:9 (ESV)

9 And the LORD said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” And so the name of that place is called Gilgal to this day.

The name Gilgal is a word play on the Hebrew verb galal, which means to roll. As a result of Israel being in the land of Canaan, the scorn of the Egyptians is rolled away.
