Commentary on Psalm 88:1–2 (Summary)

Psalm 88:1–2 (ESV)

1 O LORD, God of my salvation; I cry out day and night before you.

The psalmist turns to Yahweh in his despair. He does not deny his misery. God’s children are not immune to weakness. Yet he does not lose his faith in God.
