Commentary on Psalm 57:4 (Summary)

Psalm 57:4 (ESV)

4 My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amid fiery beasts the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

David describes the precariousness of his situation. He was surrounded by cruel people. If Saul had the opportunity, he would have torn David apart as a lion does with its prey.
