Christmas is celebrated each year all over the world. For many, it means celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Others just celebrate Christmas with their families and friends.
Christians shouldn’t overlook the importance of the celebration of Christmas for not only the Christian church but also the world. The celebration of Christmas by the church is also a sign of God in this world. It is a call to believe the faithfulness of God and his saving act in Jesus Christ for anyone who believes:
Christmas is a sign of God’s faithfulness and mercy.
Immanuel (“God with us”) is a sign of hope for this world.
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
