Commentary on Song of Solomon 5:5 (Summary)

Song of Solomon 5:5 (ESV)

5 I arose to open to my beloved, and my hands dripped with myrrh, my fingers with liquid myrrh, on the handles of the bolt.

Now her heart is stirring with desire. Her hands are dripping with myrrh. This shows that she smells wonderful for him. She is full of love and desire for her husband. She opens the door for him.
