What was this "true instruction"?

Malachi 2:6 (ESV)

6 True instruction was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.

The priests were called to faithfully teach God’s law to the people (Leviticus 10:11; Deuteronomy 33:10), and the people of Israel were to act in accordance with what they were taught (Deuteronomy 17:10–11). And this Levi and his earlier descendants did.
