What does Psalm 122 reveal about what God the Son did in my place and on my behalf?
God the Son enables me to approach the Father without fear of condemnation. The only way sinful people can rejoice at the prospect of meeting God is if we are assured that when we do so we will experience God’s mercy and goodness instead of the wrath and judgement that we deserve. God the Son has offered himself as a sacrifice for my sins (Hebrews 7:27) so that I can approach God without fear (Hebrews 10:19–25).
