1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!”

Psalm 122:1–9 is generally divided into three parts:

  • Verses 1–2 – An introduction, arriving at the gates of Jerusalem

  • Verses 3–5 – Looking up to survey the city

  • Verses 6–9 – Praying for the peace of the city
